Karaoke Contest
City of Andalusia will be hosting a Karaoke Contest with proceeds going to Relay for Life of Covington County. First place winners will earn a spot to perform at the Rattlesnake Rodeo in Opp. Two age groups will be judged ages 12-19 and 20 & up. Karaoke contest will be Saturday, March 9th at the Adult Activity Center. Registration held from 10 a.m. to noon (ONLY), at the Adult Activity Center, 401 Walker Avenue. There is a non-refundable $15.00 fee due at registration. All contestants should arrive by 12:45 p.m. and sign in at the door. Contest starts at
1 p.m. Admission fee is $2.00. Concessions will be available.
To be eligible, contestant must have never performed for money, must select appropriate songs with no vulgarity in words or actions and bring CDG (if you want the words to show or CD/Tape if no words are needed. Contestants must have two songs picked out in the event of a tie. The following areas will be judged: song, vocal ability, presentation and audience response. Winners will perform at the Rattlesnake Rodeo on Saturday, March 23rd. Prizes depend upon number of participants. Call 222-6891 for additional information.
